Colonial Kauri Wardrobe with Carved Door Panels

Thsi colonial wardrobe features stylised floral relief carved door panels typical of the Aethestics Movement interest in natural forms, from Kauri grained as walnut with Puiriri drawer facings. Displays typical colour treatment from a large, major but unidentified Auckland manufacturer (possibly T & H Cook or Winks & Hall). Complex machine moulded cornice detailing with impressive pediment and lovely expensive and rare nickel patterned handles. May have once had carved cresting to mimic the door lintrl decoration .A very nice example in excellent condition. currently in storage in the chapel.
