Early 19th Century French Walnut Commode

A period 19th century French walnut commode with wonderful colour and cabriole legs. This is a very nice transitional commode in the Louis XIV manner ,yet it has those delicious directoire square drop handles with the hexagonal back plates and the hexagonal cast brass drops and shield shaped key escutcheons. There are three long drawers with the exposed pegged mortice and tenon joints you would expect from a quality 18th century piece but the fine baltic pine interior would indicate early 19th century.
